A couple of weekends ago, I spent creating so many different looks which were such fun. Creating looks for a photo shoot, wedding and a formal meant so many different looks with all having one thing in common. The skin was to be the hero. This weekend all started on Thursday for me, as I prepared a young sweet lady to attend her Year 12 formal. She was a non-makeup wearer with a heart of gold. The added bonus was meeting her dogs and my gosh they were adorable. Samantha doesn't wear makeup very often if at all so we planned a look that was simply elegant but still had the glam look, this was subtle but still made an impact. I created eyes that whereof soft pinks and purples (don't think 80's purples, it was much more subtle than this) with a nude matte lip. For this look, I focused the attention on Samantha's amazing and beautiful eyes. With a thin eyeliner and false lashes with those soft colours on the eye, it brought her dress to life as well as her eyes. Samantha's hair needed to embrace the messy look her already curly/fuzzy hair was. Poor Samantha she is one of those who goes fuzzy when it is humid and this day the storm clouds were rolling in during the afternoon. Friday comes along and I get to work on a photo shoot. This time my model is Mexican and omgosh she is stunning sweet and lovely. The theme of the shoot was summer relaxed with a touch of glam. I started of Azul's makeup with a soft pink shadow and a more nude lip. As the outfits changed so did the makeup with more intense eyes and then lastly a darker lip. Azul's hair was simple with a curl to create flow, framing and a softness for the images we were to create. Although I don't have the full set of images yet I can show you one look with a beauty shot. For Azuls makeup I used the following products. Face and cheeks

As Saturday rolls around I get even more excited for the weekend. It is a client wedding day and the sun is shining. I headed off to Aberdeen which was just over 1.5 hrs drive away from my studio. Arriving at the venue was a delight it was a very old house with such beauty with plenty of hands helping the bride and groom set up the entire event as this was a DIY type of wedding. A country style wedding with a touch of class was the order of the day so I set on getting the bridesmaid ready for the wedding with makeup and hair. I just loved the simple but elegant makeup I created which seems to have been the weekend makeup theme. Soft pinks and false lashes with soft curls, with the wind we ended up pulling the sides back to reduce the hair in face issues during the important times of the day. The bride was just a delight, and a pleasure to meet. After rushing around all morning and being asked a million and one questions I sat the bride Emily down and said to all the helpers that she is requiring a drink and some food while she relaxes in peace to get ready. This is my favorite part of a wedding, getting the bride to sit in my makeup chair and just relax and enjoy some pampering before the chaos of the wedding day begins. I make sure she has some food and a drink just a small one to enjoy whilst relaxing. Emily was a complete delight as she relaxed getting pampered and as she glimpsed a guest walking past the window the nerves and the realness kicked in and she was just adorable. Emily's hair was similar to her bridesmaids with a slight twist to the pulled back look. I added a fishtail braid to one side. Bridal makeup and hair products used to create this look.

This was one hectic three days of work and boy was it a lot of fun and I loved every minute of it, with my highlight of the 3 days being the smiles on my clients face when they got to see their final looks in the mirrors.
